How To Design Your Business To Run Itself

Updated: Sep 30, 2021

I've been blessed to have some amazing mentors and coaches to help me run my businesses and organizations. My more consistent coaches are the Run Like Clockwork coaches.

I've been following Mike Michalowicz for a few years now. The Pumpkin Plan, Profit First, and Run Like Clockwork are among the books and methodologies that I've been implementing into my business.

After reading Run Like Clockwork: How To Design Your Business to Run Itself, I received an email to apply for a scholarship for the Accelerator Program, and I got it!

It was a 2 month or so program that walked you through implementing the methodologies, and then I joined their Continuum Program which is a constant support system. Phenomenal!

I had the pleasure to be a guest on their podcast where we talk all about it, have a listen:

Video version of the conversation:

Topics covered include:

  • How to be creative with resources when running a non-profit organization

  • March: the beginning and end of so much in business + life

  • Taking a 4-week vacation/paternity leave

  • How to leverage a love/hate relationship with time tracking

  • Implementing Clockwork through the Accelerator and Continuum

Non-profits operate just like businesses, except with much smaller operating budgets and they need operations support. If you run (or support) a non-profit business, it's even more vital to Clockwork the business to efficiently utilize the limited resources to maximize impact.

If you want to get a taste of this program, you can do the 1-week Bootcamp for $47 using this link.

If you're super excited and want to dive right in, Join the Accelerator Program and design your nonprofit (or business) to run itself.
